How To Measure Quality In A Metal Fabricator
At Swanton Welding we take pride in providing high-quality, fully-customizable welding and fabrication services which are designed to meet each one of our customers’ needs. In order to maintain this level it is necessary to identify certain standards of quality, including:
- The workmanship and certification of our employees
- The equipment we use
- The extent of customization abilities
- Excellent customer service
- Asking the right questions
- Using only the best materials
These are just a few of the ways we measure quality here at Swanton Welding.
The Facility Matters
Even with the most skilled workers, quality can only go so far without the proper tools and procedures in place. This is why we employ a certified welding inspector (CWI) at each facility to monitor the quality of work that is being produced for you and your company. In order to exceed both customer and industry expectations, we use only the most advanced specialized equipment in our facilities, such as:
- GFS Downdraft Paint Booth for painting and blasting
- 40 Foot Ficep Beam Line for steel processing
- CO2 Laser Cutting Machine and ESAB Plasma Cutting Machine for steel processing
- CNC Machines to help supply precision machined parts
- Automated CMM System for quality control
- MAZAK 6-Pallet Center and OKK Vertical Mills for various machining processes
Customer Service Counts
We pride ourselves on the long standing relationships we hold with our clients, which are built on a foundation of high quality work and earned trust. Our repeat customers trust our work because they have seen its quality first hand. While each of our facilities employs a certified welding inspector on site, we encourage you to inspect the quality level of your product through your own personal inspectors as well. If you have a specific need for your product let us know and we will go above and beyond to exceed your expectations. Just as our welding and fabrication jobs are fully customizable, so are the quality control measures that come with the services provided.
We Ask All the Right Questions
Getting the job done right the first time is something we are committed to, which is why we believe in asking detailed questions upfront. The clearer you are and the more information we gather the more sure we can be that the product you want is the product you will get. Companies use different quality programs and have different standards of excellence. We will work with you to determine precisely what you want from our products, and then we will take the steps necessary to meet your specific definition of quality.
High Quality Materials Make a Difference
Great craftsmanship and state of the art equipment are excellent resources, but in order for them to be effective the foundation of the product must be up to par. This is why our jobs are completed with only the best materials available. Some of the high quality materials we use in our day-to-day work are:
- Mild steel (with ability to be cut up to 3/4″)
- Stainless steel
- Aluminum steel
- Heavy plate metal
- Thin gauge metal
Non steel materials include:
- Rubber
- Plastics
- Acrylic
These are the kinds of materials you can depend on to deliver a superior product every single time, but only when they are correctly utilized by a team of experts. Here at Swanton Welding we not only use the best materials but we know how to utilize them to reach their highest level of performance.
Our Facilities-Georgia and Ohio
While our Georgia facility is ISO-9001 certified, our Ohio facilities are not. This is due to the fact that the services provided here do not require ISO certification. Our facilities provide domestic and international services to our loyal clients and each facility provides custom, heavy and structural steel fabrication services to fit the needs of your company. If you do not live close to any of Swanton Welding’s locations we are happy to ship out your products when they are complete. No matter where you are in the United States, Swanton Welding can get you the products you require when you require them.
We understand that your company has its own quality standards, which is why we work hard to constantly redefine how quality is measured and provide the highest standard of product possible. Throughout our work process, facility, materials, and customer service, we will strive to meet the quality needs of you and your company every single time you call upon our services.
